Getting There

Flights to Sydney

No official carrier has been nominated for the Conference due to competitive airfares available via the internet. There are three airlines who fly regularly into Sydney. Check out the best fares of the day from these airlines.

To and From the Airport – Public Transport

There are train stations located at both the International and Domestic Terminals which operate as part of the Airport Link train service.  The Domestic Terminal train station is located directly between T2 and T3 Terminals and is accessible from within the terminals from the Arrivals level.

The Airport Link is a fast and convenient way to reach the centre of Sydney. Trains run approximately every 10 minutes and the journey into the city takes only 13 minutes. The international and domestic rail stations link directly to the City Circle which means most city destinations are within a short walk of stations.  The cost for a adult ticket one way from the airport to Sydney CBD is $15.40 each.

The Airport Link stops at  Town Hall Station, which is the nearest public train station to the Convention Centre (approximately 10 minutes from the venue by foot).

Metro Light Rail
The Metro Light Rail provides a direct service to the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre with a Metro Light Rail station located directly outside both the Convention Centre and the Exhibition Centre.  Tickets can be purchased on the train.  Trains operate every 15 minutes between Central Station and Lilyfield.   For further information on the Metro Light Rail, please refer to their website at www.metrolightrail.com.au

To and From the Airport – Taxi Services

Taxi Ranks
Each airpot terminal has its own sheltered taxi rank with supervisors on hand in peak hours to ensure a smooth flow of taxis for travellers.

Taxi Types
Kerbside supervisors can also organise taxis with baby capsules, wheelchair access, five-seaters, station wagons for lots of baggage, and maxi taxis for groups.

Taxi Tips
Drivers are required to accept all fares, big and small, from the airport. If you are only travelling a short distance, drivers can return back to their place in the queue after they have taken you to where you need to go. The kerbside management team will help you and your driver with this request.

Please note that taxis are not permitted to pick up passengers outside of the taxi ranks and the driver will be fined AU$5,000 for breaking the regulation.

Taxi Fares
The approximate return fares you can expect to pay to and from Sydney Airport to the city is $50. Remember passengers pay for any bridge or road tolls on top of the fare (these fares are in Australian dollars and are based on non-peak traffic conditions):

A $3.50 airport toll is payable by all passengers taking a taxi from any of Sydney Airport’s taxi ranks.
